How to Protect Yourself from Spyware and Adware
This article on Microsoft’s website will help to explain more about Spyware and Adware.  It seems to be everywhere and can be very destructive let alone annoying if your computer is not protected.  Although this article is written for Windows XP, it will apply to other versions of Windows as well.

How do you know if the Anti-spyware or Anti-Adware program you want to use, won't in fact, install spyware or adware onto your computer?
Do not buy or download any anti-spyware software without checking this list first at Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites at Spyware Warrior.  At best, you pay for rogue programs that are useless; at worst, they install spyware instead of removing it!

Scroll down on the page and see if the product that you are wanting is on the list.  If it is -- you don't want it!
